Method for Connecting Plastic Steel Sheet Pile Locks

1. Mechanical Interlocking Connection:
For plastic-steel sheet piles, the locking mechanism may be injection-molded plastic to ensure a secure bond with the steel substrate while maintaining smooth connection.

2. Sealing Treatment:
To enhance waterproofing or anti-seepage performance, gaps between interlocks may be filled with water-swelling rubber strips or coated with sealant, drawing inspiration from smart composite locking designs.
While plastic inherently offers good sealing properties, connection points require laser welding or hot-melt processes to guarantee locking precision (e.g., tolerances within 0.05mm).

3. Auxiliary Fixing Tools:
During installation, tools like turnbuckles or manual hoists may be used to adjust locking alignment, ensuring smooth对接 of flanges, webs, and locks while preventing bending. This is particularly critical for composite piles to prevent cracking in plastic sections due to stress concentration.
‌4. Quality Inspection:
After connection, perform a latch pass test: use standard-length latches to verify that the joint interlocks smoothly and passes through.
